Parents Association
Welcome to Alderton's Parents, Teachers and Friends Association
The PTFA are supported by the staff and the headteachers at Alderton Infant and Alderton Junior Schools as well as parents and friends within the Alderton community.
Throughout the year we will be hosting events for example school discos, sponsored walk, sponsored pancake toss and the Summer Bounce. We also run Mothers day and Fathers day stalls and ice lolly sales when its hot.
Previously the money raised by the PTA has gone towards supporting the school on various things like outdoor playground equipment, school trips and year 6 leavers activities to name a few.
If you would like to become part of the planning and/or executing for any of these activities, please reach out to the PTFA via email on aldertonptfa@gmail.com. We are always open to having extra support for these events because if we don’t have the help of the parents, teachers, and friends of Alderton Schools, we cannot make them happen. All activities as always, are added to both school’s newsletters and can also be found on the Alderton Infant and Junior Schools PTFA Facebook page. This page is only available to parents that actively have children attending the schools.
Our main goal is to raise money whilst having fun therefore please support us in achieving that.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Our Annual General Meeting is held in November and provides an excellent opportunity for all parents to come along and hear in more detail about our work, the events we have run, the funds we have raised and how the money has been spent. It is also when we elect our new committee members.
Support from Parentkind
Our PTFA is a member of Parentkind, which is a national charity and membership organisation providing support and guidance to over 13,500 parent associations in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Membership includes comprehensive insurance cover by Zurich Insurance plc for all our association run events and gives access to support and advice on running the association plus fundraising ideas and
good practice hints and tips.
